Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. Her true love was when she added writing to her roles and earned an Emmy for this. She won another Emmy for hosting an outstanding entertainment talk program. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 until 2010. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news for The Early Show. After 9/11, she was sent to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for a riveting and shocking interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with the former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as a reporter and anchor for WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). While completing her last semester at University, she served as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) as well as the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). As a desk assistant to ABC News late night broadcast Nightline she was a part of the team that worked with Ted Koppel. He remains one her heroes in journalism. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and looked at how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
