Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on the instances. Ms. O'Dell was honored by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Alongside her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
